It is an honor to serve as your president for the 2025-2027 term of the Washington DC Metro HBCU Alumni Alliance. Together, we represent one of the nation’s largest and most impactful HBCU alumni networks, a testament to the power of collective action, shared purpose, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
Our Alliance is a beacon of hope and progress in the local DMV community, where our focus areas—Health & Wellness, Higher Education, and Hunger—drive meaningful change. Beyond our local efforts, we stand united in our mission to support the approximately 107 HBCUs across the United States, which educate over 228,000 students annually. These institutions continue to be pillars of opportunity, empowerment, and cultural preservation, and our efforts directly contribute to their success.
As we look ahead, we are excited to embark on new and continuing endeavors, forging innovative partnerships while deepening relationships with our longstanding allies. Together, we will expand our impact, strengthen our programs, and ensure that the legacy of HBCUs endures for generations to come.
